This video is all about the role of the physiatrist when it comes to traumatic brain injury (TBI). In this video I break down a case and discuss the different aspects of our role as the PM&R physician on the team.
This will hopefully help give a better sense of what we do as physiatrists for TBI patients in the hospital. This is by no means a complete discussion, but we help manage pain, bowel/bladder, seizure prevention, agitation, mood, sleep, spasticity, electrolyte disturbances unique to TBI, and more!
As always thanks for watching and i hope this glimpse into life as a doctor is helpful!
