A prior injury will almost certainly have an effect on your new injury claim. The insurance adjuster may lessen or deny your claim if pre-existing injuries are closely related to your current injuries. Your doctor’s narrative can help avoid getting your new claim denied.

  1. my question is I have disclosed my previous back injury to adjuster. 2 QME's have agreed that my current back injury is and was not related that injury. This is a completely new injury. But adjuster insists they are related and will not compensate me for my full disability because of the prior injury 25 yrs ago.  And I have had severe complications due to my treatment such as (because of meds) I lost my Colon and received an ileostomy now with ongoing chronic GI problems I went into septic shock and had a heart attack shortly after along with 12 incisional hernias and Gall bladder removed because it quit working. What can I do about any of this? I have an Attorney but he is not much help. Thank you
